They have excellent features: you can hear the real pronunciation, users can comment  the information and in some cases you can ask for questions or additional information about the word in a forum or chat. My favourite online dictionary is wordreference, i like beacuse you can find a lot of real examples os using the word or expression you are looking for in a specific context and users feedback a lot of information.  

I teach the "Microcomputer Equipment" subject in a vocational education course related to Telecommunications. How to use ICT smartly to improve learning? ... that is a good question, but the answer is not only to fill the classroom with gadgets and digitalize all the resources, we need to change our thinking and learn to become a knowledge-based society  ;)

A blog is an online resource that helps teachers to be in touch with students. The blog works as a "whiteboard" where teachers can add articles, information, and resources as images, videos o web links. It consists of paragraphs of information, opinion or diary entries displayed chronologically. The main advantage of a blog is that students can interact with the teacher. For example, in this way teachers encourage shy students to participate. A blog implements by itself some useful features as serach possibilities, indexing, referrals, alerts, etc. Setting up a blog is very easy for a non-technical teachers and is a very felxible and powerful solution as a educational resource. Teachers will user the blog to motivate students. Studen will be able to respond by writtign comments to the blog. A blog could be used to interact between different groups inside the class. Finally I think is a good way to improve writing skills and the use of appropiate language, avoiding the us
